Sonam Penjor is a dynamic entrepreneur, education consultant, and social worker, now also carving a notable path as a mortgage broker. As the Managing Partner – Corporate Services and Co-Founder of B5 Group of Companies Pty Ltd, Sonam has a robust portfolio including Bodhi5 Education Consultancy & Placement Firm, B5 Migration & Education Consultancy, B5 Events, and CB Custom Print & Media. With a formidable presence in Australia and Bhutan, Sonam’s mission has long been to facilitate students’ journeys to top educational institutions across the globe, including Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and Canada, and now extends this mission to include helping clients achieve their homeownership dreams.
Renowned for his dedication to providing personalised services that make both international education and mortgage solutions accessible and hassle-free, Sonam’s extensive experience in business leadership and international education adeptly supports his new venture. His strategic vision and passion for education and financial empowerment are reflected in his business development initiatives which aim to expand market presence and foster meaningful partnerships.
In addition to his entrepreneurial endeavours, Sonam’s career has included significant roles, such as Operations Manager in the Energy Sector and Treasurer at the Association of Bhutanese in Perth Inc. His qualifications as a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, coupled with extensive experience in tax consulting and compliance, have strengthened his financial acumen, perfectly positioning him for success in the mortgage industry. Before migrating to Australia in 2014, he served as a government official in Bhutan for almost 7 years.
Academically, Sonam holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting from Edith Cowan University. His volunteer work as a Tax Helper with the Australian Taxation Office and as an ECU Enactus Student Ambassador, focusing on economic empowerment and sustainability, further showcase his commitment to community service and economic growth.

Sonam Tshering (QEAC No: T655)
Managing Partner - Admission Services
Mr. Sonam Tshering is a seasoned educational consultant and business leader with over 14 years of living and working experience in Australia, specialising in guiding students through higher education pathways and career planning.
He holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Madras University (2004) and a Master of Community Development from Murdoch University (2015). His professional journey began in Bhutan as a Civil Engineer, where he managed large-scale projects in Bhutan even earning a Certificate of Appreciation from the Queen Mother of Bhutan for his work on the Olep Community Development Project.
Since moving to Australia, Mr. Tshering has focused on education consultancy and student services, working as Branch Manager for another education consultancy before co-founding B5 Group of Companies. In his current role as Managing Partner/Director, he oversees the admission, HR and Finance of the company. He is expert in providing expert guidance to students and families on course selection, enrolment, and career pathways; building partnerships with Australian universities and institutes to expand student access to quality education; overseeing migration and education consultancy services, ensuring compliance with policies and standards and leading promotional campaigns, workshops, and community engagement programs to support student welfare and professional development.
His extensive experience in education consultancy is further strengthened by completing the Education Agent Training Course, earning him the designation of Qualified Education Agent Counsellor (QEAC No: T655). In addition, he has received professional training in Project Management, Monitoring & Evaluation, and Vocational Institute Management, enhancing his leadership, analytical, and strategic capabilities.
With his deep expertise in educational guidance and student services, Mr. Tshering continues to empower students to achieve their academic and career goals while contributing to both the Australian and Bhutanese communities.

Damchoe Choden Namgye
Managing Partner - Bhutan
Damchoe Choden Namgye is the Managing Partner at Bodhi5 Education Consultancy and Placement Firm in Thimphu, Bhutan, and a Partner at the firm’s branch in Perth, Western Australia. In these dual roles, she leads strategic operations, oversees student advisory services, and manages international partnerships across both countries. Her presence in both Bhutan and Australia allows her to offer a uniquely global perspective, making her a trusted and influential figure in the education consultancy sector. With a strong understanding of cross-border education systems and immigration processes, Damchoe continues to serve as a vital link between Bhutanese students and international academic opportunities.
Since 2020, Damchoe has been active in the international education consultancy industry. Her professional journey began in Perth, where she worked as a Student Advisor at ISA Migrations and Education Consultants. There, she provided end-to-end guidance to international students—particularly from Bhutan—on course selection, university applications, and visa processes. Her compassionate approach, combined with deep procedural knowledge, helped hundreds of clients achieve successful outcomes and pursue their education goals abroad.
Beyond her consultancy work, Damchoe has been deeply involved in community service. She served as the General Secretary of the Association of Bhutanese in Perth Inc. for over a year, playing a central role in supporting the welfare of Bhutanese nationals living in Western Australia. Her responsibilities included coordinating medical fundraising efforts for community members in need, facilitating the repatriation of deceased individuals to Bhutan, and representing the community in official discussions with Australian ministries to secure financial support and recognition. Through this role, she helped build a more resilient and unified Bhutanese diaspora.
Academically, Damchoe holds a Master of Business Administration (Global) from Murdoch University, Perth (2020), which equipped her with strong leadership and international business competencies. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Development (2016), reflecting her foundational interest in sustainability and global development.
Her broader career includes prior experience as an Assistant Marketing Officer at KNG Pvt. Ltd. in Thimphu, where she gained practical skills in communication and market engagement, and an internship with the Research Department of the Democrat Party in Bangkok, Thailand, where she contributed to policy analysis and political research.
Combining global education expertise, strong leadership, and community-centered values, Damchoe Choden Namgye continues to make a significant impact on the lives of students and communities across Bhutan and Australia.

Hello! I’m Tshewang Rinzin, the co-founder and Managing Partner – Migration Services with B5 Group of Companies Pty Ltd. I couldn’t be more thrilled to join this incredible team and embark on this exciting journey together. As a registered Migration Agent (MARA: 2519040), I bring with me a wealth of knowledge, passion, and dedication to our mission.
My Educational Journey:
- I completed my Graduate Diploma in Migration Law from Victoria University, Australia, in 2024.
- Prior to that, I earned an MBA from Copenhagen Business School, Denmark, in 2011.
- I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from MANIT, Bhopal, India, which I obtained in 2005.
Professional Achievements:
- I served as the Lead Organiser at United Workers Union in Australia from 2021 to 2025.
- I was honoured to be the President of the Association of Bhutanese in Perth Inc, Australia, between 2020 and 2021.
- I took on the role of CEO at Serphel Electrical Construction in Bhutan from 2016 to 2018.
- My career in electrical engineering began at Bhutan Power Corporation, where I worked as an Electrical Engineer & Senior Manager, from 2005 to 2016.
Throughout my journey, I’ve had the privilege of taking on impressive leadership roles and making impactful achievements. My commitment to community engagement, entrepreneurial spirit, and a robust background in engineering have all shaped my career path.
